What is wrong with the music?!?

SO, I am listening to the radio today(which I rarely do, since my purchase of the ipod), and I listen to 3 different songs that I am shocked are on the air! First off, Victoria loves Katy Perry. I monitor which songs she gets to listen to, of course. One of her favorites is E.T. which is a very catchy tune. However, on the radio she sings it with Kanye West...and the lyrics are disgusting. It is all about alien sex. How come they had to ruin a perfectly good song and make it nasty in order to put it on the radio?!? And, alien sex? Really? Immediately after that I heard a Rhianna song called S&M, which is about that. With the lyrics of, "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but whips and chains excite me," I was appalled!! I don't care about Rhianna's nasty sex life!!! Another lyric was, "Sex in the air, I don't care, I love the smell of it." Ugh, I am just speechless. The song right after that was Avril Lavigne's What the Hell. Distasteful as well. With another sex lyric of "You say that I'm messing with your head Boy, I like messing in your bed Yeah, I am messing with your head When I'm messing with you in bed." So, really, what kind of message are we sending out? 3 songs in a row, all about sex?!? I can honestly say that I refuse to allow my kids to listen to crap like that. No more radio in my car unless it's the oldies station. So sad that the artists aren't selling how well they sing but how far they can push the bar. I am seriously disturbed by this. When did I get old enough to care? So sad the world is coming to this. Sex is glorified all around these days. Just shocking.
